Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas – no not the movie or book – it is a 6 member Japanese band formed back in 2008. They are known to use auto-tuned vocals to go with their music that can be categorized as Metalcore and Post-Hardcore.They are know for singles: “Chase the light” for Gyakkyō Burai Kaiji: Hakairoku-hen, “Just Awake” for 2011 Hunter x Hunter and more recently “Let Me Hear” for the anime Parasyte ~the maxim~.

I must admit I had to give them a second listen to before I was sold to like them – I am not a particular fan of metalcore/hardcore music, but they way they compose their music makes it sound like there is elements of techno, trance and electronica. Whatever it is, it definitely works. Personally best album to listen to is “Phase 2”.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas song recommendations:

“Chase the Light” “Just Awake” “Let me Hear” “Rave-up Tonight” “Nail the Sh** Down” “Counterattack by the Sesame Sized Bodies” “Stay as Who You Are” “Virtue and Vice”
